【Echo Tech】 Cut “rubber” with ultrasonic cutter ZO series.
Ultrasonic cutter is able to cut rubber, but it depends on hardness.
Cuttable & uncuttable rubber.
Telling the answer first, too soft rubber is hard to cut with ultrasonic cutter.
To explain this reason, we need to talk about circuit installed in device.
Ultrasonic cutter ZO series(Oversea model)
Oversea models are installed “TAF circuit”.
This circuit increases output power when it detects load on blade. Which means, when it cut hard materials and apply power on cutter, the blade sharpness will be enhance. TAF circuit has made corresponding to the rate of conventional models malfunction, broke by overload. We made new models saving output power, planned for curbing malfunction.
However, it has one weak point for TAF circuit.
That is, device will not enhance the blade’s sharpness until the circuit detects load on blade.
Now you may get it, soft materials are hard to make load on blade because it absorbs pressing power.
Advise of cutting soft materials.
Same as rubber, cloth or thin materials are hard to cut.
To make them cut, it easier to make work by cutting hard materials beforehand. Initially making device power up and cut soft things within short time(otherwise device will lose power soon).
Japanese models.
We have some Japan use ultrasonic cutter models(ZO-80, ZO-41Ⅱ, ZO-40R, ZO-30P).
For old models(ZO-40R, ZO-30P), it doesn’t installed TAF circuit, so it cut within Max. power initially. Those are proper models for cutting soft materials.
However, because those models are not attached AC adaptor, please do not use it in country except Japan, otherwise device will occur electric accident.
