Ultrasonic Atomizer unit HM-17 (Immersion type)

This unit generates fog when placed in liquid and turned on.
Convenient for incorporation into equipment and atomization experiments of liquid agents in the laboratory.

Recommended for those who want to turn liquid into mist or mist.
Ultrasonic atomization unit that can easily create fog. This product has the image of a humidifier floating on water.

Pour the unit shown in the photo above (the unit is about the size of the palm of your hand) into the liquid you want to mist. The green part is floating. Ultrasonic atomization units must be at the correct water level to produce fog. This float allows it to float at the same water level even if the water level changes.

Photo of an immersive ultrasonic atomization unit floating in water.
This is a photo of the main unit viewed from above. I put it in water, and it floats. Fog is generated from the center of the △ cone in the center. The principle is the same as an ultrasonic humidifier, but the ultrasonic vibrator that creates the fog uses a higher frequency of 2.4MHz than the humidifier.
The ultrasonic vibrator is the heart of creating mist using ultrasonic waves, and the higher the frequency, the finer (smaller) the center particle diameter of the resulting mist.

The part that looks like a sponge on the left side of the immersion type ultrasonic atomization unit HM-17 inside the float is the float switch that monitors whether or not the water runs out.

When the float is rising, it determines that there is water and turns on the electricity. If you turn the machine upside down while the power is on, this float will rise and cause the machine to malfunction. When taking it out of water, please unplug the power first before taking it out. Now, let’s plug the AC adapter into the outlet.

A column of water rises and the unbearable liquid turns into mist. If you use a small container, water droplets will scatter, so please prepare a large aquarium or a container with a lid.
■Body size
When installing float: 100*100*86mm
When removing the float: 56*77*79mm (photo below)

■Notes
・About available liquids
The liquid that creates the fog is pure water, hypochlorous acid water (about PH 6.5, and hypochlorous acid concentration of 50 ppm or less.) As for alkaline liquids, the cable may discolor, so there is no guarantee. Not applicable.
) We have not tested liquids other than hypochlorous acid water (about PH 6.5, hypochlorous acid concentration 50ppm or less), so any malfunctions will not be covered by the warranty.
Please use a double tank (to make this machine mist, fill it with water, and for the chemical solution, put it in a beaker, etc. and bring it close to it).

・Water temperature used: 5 degrees to 35 degrees

・Atomization capacity: Approximately 210ml/hour
*Amount of mist when water temperature is 23 degrees, placed in our own aquarium, and sprayed with a fan.
The amount of fog that can be formed changes depending on the water temperature. Please note that the lower the water temperature, the less fog there will be.

・Please do not touch the connector where the cord is taken out. It’s tempting to remove it, but if you loosen it, water will get in and cause damage. Please do not touch it.

■About responsibility
We are not responsible for any damage caused by turning the liquid into a mist. When making a liquid into a mist, please check the MSDN of the liquid before experimenting.

This unit can be installed from the bottom of the aquarium by removing the float. …A cooling fan is required.
・Please use P-46 (fluororubber) for the O-ring.
・Please refer to the instruction manual for the processing dimensions for the aquarium.

Because the material of the packing is fluororubber, it falls under the regulations.
*This specification is information as of June 2023.

3. Installation method and operation
1) Place the main unit in a water tank
2) Connect the AC adapter and main unit
3) When you plug the AC adapter into an outlet, a column of water will rise and atomization will begin.
*Please be careful as the water column will splash.
※Note
If you take the cord out of the tank while it is in operation, the vibrator may run out of water and the float may rise.
Please unplug the power before taking it out, as it will run dry and damage the vibrator.
Also, if bubbles or foreign matter accumulate on the vibrator surface, it will cause a failure. Please perform maintenance on the vibrator surface regularly.

4. Wetted parts material
ABS, SUS, PP, PE, fluorine rubber, EPDM, PVC
