Ultrasonic atomizer unit HMC-2400 series

The frequency of ultrasonic atomizer unit is 2.4 MHz, higher than ultrasonic humidifier.
The feature point is that central particle size is very small(under 3 μm).

We discontinued to produce ultrasonic atomizer unit HM2412 and HM2412C, which we sold for long years.
For designing own product newly, please get HMC-2400(Upper type attached horn) or HMC-2401(Diagonal type).
※The orders acceptance of HM-2412 or HM-2412C has finished at 30 November 2018, and maintenance term will finish at 30 March 2026.

What’s different from conventional models?

The biggest change is a “shape of Oscillator”.
Lest side on picture is conventional type, and right side is HMC series.
The unit’s volume has decreased in 1/3, and it only needs small space for assemble in other things.

Transducer’s shape has also changed.
Size for setting is same, but we adopted resin ・ packing installed in ultrasonic atomizer JM-200 which we are selling.

For HMC-2400, it attaches resin horn to increase atomizing volume.
Unit atomizes 150 ml/hour without attaching horn, and 360 ml/hour for attaching horn.
(※Because the proper water level for unit changes, be sure when you replace from conventional products.)

Ultrasonic atomizer unit HM-2401 transducer is made diagonally(10°) as in the past because mist doesn’t generates stably due to droplet drops from water pillar. When you make design assembling the unit, be sure not place any things on direction of water pillar.

Substrate size become smaller, and it able to tighten with transducer.

Ultrasonic atomizer unit is used for various purpose, such as spray, mist, atomize liquid.
・Atomize something liquid. Mostly used in research at college.
We don’t recommend to atomize deleterious substance, but there are some cases used in experiment test with double water tank. (Put water tank on another tank)

About Ultrasonic atomizer unit.

Ultrasonic atomizer unit transmits high frequency ultrasonic energy to water, and water pillar rises up by water molecule acceleration. The edge of water pillar atomizes and become mist. It is a set product of oscillator substrate that activates ultrasonic transducer and transducer, considered assembling in machine that atomizes liquid using this phenomenon.
We developed this unit using for ultrasonic atomizer, we sell. Eventually, we had requests from companies and colleges which makes special order of apparatus, to sell only unit that atomizes fog, and we released in 1st August 1998.
Because it could purchase from single unit, and it able to make test model or experiment, we have order from various users for this long years.

□Supplying system
・We have a capacity on our producing ability, and especially, we could not supply component corresponds to HClO within large quantity. We could not accept your order, over 1,000 units in each months.
・If our condition matches, we supply to companies which is making competitive products purposed for atomizing liquids, such as ultrasonic atomizer and humidifier.
 Please consult us if you are facing trouble of transducers defect, caused by HClO or Weak acidic electrolytic water.

□Cost
・In Japan, ultrasonic transducer that corresponds to HClO and weak acidic electrolytic water is very rare. Therefore, we have orders from many companies, but the cost estimation will be expensive double to ten times from normal atomizing transducer.

 Q:Is it possible to activate transducer with amplifier directly?
   Please tell us volume of voltage, currency and consumption power applies to transducer.
 A: Our supplying units are supposes set purchasing.
    Also, we do not announcing volume of voltage, currency and consumption power applies to transducer to public.
    Please measure by yourself after you purchased, or purchase other company’s unit.

 Q: Why do R3(atomizing oscillation substrate) get defect by heat? Also, is it able to prevent with fuse?
 A: If electricity has turned ON when transducer were disconnected(supposing transducer’s solder accidentally removes by abnormal heating of no-water burning), the unit will vibrates abnormally(500KHz~600KHz) and we confirmed it smokes from R3 within 3 minutes.
Compared to adjusted currency value 550 mA, it decreases to 220 mA while it’s vibrating abnormally. Therefore, we think it’s hard to protect with fuse. At activation test, please do not turn ON electricity without connecting ultrasonic transducer.

 Q: How many unit is limit that doesn’t need application of high frequency utilizing facility in Japan?
 A: 5 qty. for max.
    In our research, the high frequency power for single unit was approx. 8.1 W.
    This status is just our reference.
    If you use multiple units, please measure a high frequency power by yourself.

    We do not support your application of high frequency utilizing facility.

 Q: What will happen if unit activates without cool within fan.
 A: FET might be break because heat sink temperature will exceed 90℃ within 10 min.

Thank you very much for using our ultrasonic atomizer unit series. The semiconductor which has installed in our atomizer unit become product that not recommended for assembling in new designed apparatus, and even we don’t know when it will be our last producing. We are thinking of making substitute, but because there are no components that could keep stable a product’s performance, we will discontinue to manufacturing when our product’s component run out. Please do not install in new designed product.
