This is a 3D model of Japanese old-style picture, “Skull ukiyo-e” drawn by Kuniyoshi Utagawa. It moves in 50cm square area suspended to marionettes.
By controlling the motor only by winding up the thread, it is possible to simplify the process, make the joint connections more stylish, and convey the sense of floating bones and eeriness.
The marionette is required weight management.
Therefore, this team decided making bones with paper clay, newspaper, and wire to make them lighter and easier to work with. It constructed very well.
